Mary has a full time studio practice in the Uxbridge countryside, making sculpture, painting and making hand-pressed tile.
Mary studied Ceramics and Design at the School of Craft & Design, Sheridan College, after completing a BFA in Art History and Archeology at the University of Guelph. Further studies have included Anthropology and Archeology, Physical Anthropology at McMaster University, and Ceramic Intensives MFA at Alfred University.
After college, Mary worked at an artist residency at Harbourfront Craft Studios, Toronto, and opened her own teaching studio in Toronto. After moving to Stratford Mary developed and produced her handmade tile line, which is shown in International exhibitions, and is in many private and public collections. Other residencies include at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, Ontario, as well as at AIR Vallauris in the south of France.
Mary is a member of the Roycrofters at Large Association (RALA) in NY, and has won many awards for her ceramics for the last 30 years.
